Can I get a refund on my tax?

Yes the DVLA automatically refund you for your tax via a cheque if you have paid cash or simply put the money back onto the card that you originally paid on.

How soon can you collect my car?

We try to collect the same day, however this may vary depending on the time you get in contact. But certainly within 48 hours, at a time that is convenient to you.

Can you collect while I’m at work?

As long as someone is there to collect payment then we can collect it doesn’t have to be the registered keeper or owner.

What to do with my car insurance?

You should cancel this as soon as we have collected your vehicle.

I have no keys?

Just leave it to us when we contact you to confirm your details. Let us know about any obstructions that may make the car difficult to recover.

Will I get a receipt?

You will receive a receipt, you will need to inform us of how you would like to receive it either by email, post or on collection.

Do you give me a set time for collection?

Yes, we arrange a collection time with you. We generally work within an hour window such as between 10-11am. We can also give you adequate notice of our arrival time, if requested. This can be useful if you need to travel to where your car is located.

Does my car get re-used & recycled?

Most vehicles will be broken for parts and recycled. Newer more valuable cars may be sold within the motor trade.

What time and days do you collect?

We collect 7 days a week – 7am-10pm

Will I need to drive my car to a drop off centre?

No we will come to you to make it as easy for you as possible.

My car isn’t at my home address, can you still collect it?

Yes, we can collect your car from any location including garages, storage compounds or your place of work.

Can I remove my car stereo?

If you have an after market one, then yes you can remove it.

Do you buy commercial vehicles?

We do buy commercial vehicles at any size.

Do you buy caravans?

Yes, depending on their condition. If their deemed un-useable then we do charge for their collection.

Do you charge for collecting my car?

No, all prices given are on collection basis. We have no hidden fees.

What address do I send my part of the log book to?

DVLA, Swansea SA99 1BD

What do I need to provide on collection?

The keys, including a spare if you have one, V5C (logbook), any other paperwork such as service receipts and old MOTs.

Do I need to fill in any documents when scrapping my car?

In the V5C (logbook) you will need to sign section 9 when we have collected your vehicle. You will need to send section 9 to DVLA, Swansea SA99 1BD

How do you pay me?

The most common methods of payment available are cash on collection, bank transfer and cheque payment. Bank transfers are usually cleared immediately. Cheques will be issued on collection and may take a few days to clear. All transactions will be carried out on collection.

What do I do with the V5C (logbook)?

On collection we will complete section 9 of the V5C and you will need to send this to DVLA, Swansea SA99 1BD. If you don’t have the V5C then you will need to notify the DVLA in writing that you have sold/scrapped the car to us.
